Idaho Springs Project

A Self Sustainable Mountain Home near Saint Mary’s Glacier at 10,000’ this project was built with RASTRA ICF wall forms, Photovoltaic power system with battery Back-Up. Solar Thermal DHW In-Floor radiant heating.

This project started in November of 2009, installed in the rockies on 37 acres, the project was a two phase build. We built the carriage house/garage first then added the main house as an addition in 2010 and finished the project in December of 2012. all the logs we used were from conifer Colorado and timber framed on site. Zero Energy installed the Solar Thermal System to make up the domestic hot water and assist in the radiant heat system. All hardwood flooring and tile transfer the radiant heat keeping those toes warm.
